Each student was given a card to memorize about a famous person from the Revolutionary War. They need to also put together a costume to wear for the Walk through the Revolution presentation on Wednesday, February 10th. In addition to theirlines, they are to complete a biography poster about their person. Below is a link to the rubric for the poster. Parents are invited to the presentation on the 10th. It will begin around 8:00 and should last approximately 2 hours.

We are learning about the differences between the New England, Middle, and Southern colonies. In class, students are working on posters to help understand the different colonies. They should be researching and adding notes to their spirals to help them. At the end of the unit, students will create one poster describing life in each region. Below, I have included the rubric for the poster, which will be their. Students will not be allowed to use any notes for this.

Below is a list of the information that is required for each tribe poster. Remeber, each group is to research the following topics for their tribe. Your group may have chosen to break up the work, so make sure you don’t let your group down. You may use the internet, encyclopedias, History book, or other books that I have in class. You will be putting the poster together in class, but you need to go to Mrs. Montes’s class prepared.

Artifact-Make an Indian artifact or model that would have been a part or represent your tribes life style. (Example: Teepee for a Plains Indian not a teepee for a southwest Indian tribe.) The artifact is to be made out of easily accessible materials typically found around the house. You don’t need to buy anything to make the artifact.
